Whether it is a quiet getaway, a boating, skiing, snowmobiling or fishing adventure you seek, Kawagama Shoreline offers it all. Dock your boat on our aluminum dock for the duration of your stay – enjoy an evening fire overlooking the lake, your morning drink on the 2^nd deck by the water counting the loons. With 200 ft of private shoreline, you can swim off the dock or do a gradual walk in.

A spacious 2300 sq ft home with a fireplace in the master bedroom suite you can enjoy a crisp fire while overlooking the lake from bed. There are 3 additional bedrooms, 1 queen, 2 twins and a bunk bed. The expansive living room has a fireplace for those chilly nights and a box of board games to enjoy with your family and friends. A dedicated sunroom to gather the rays up on those days you want to chill and do a puzzle – or if you have to do some work – fire up the woodstove on the chilly days while you work seamlessly with our Starlink internet service.

Get ready to cook in the large kitchen with a drink bar that comes with every option you can think of to brew a hot cup of coffee, or a hot chocolate for your fireside smores. A propane BBQ grill to entice your friends and family to help with the dinner is also available.

Our waterfront cottage rental is on a quiet private road, that is only a 15 minute drive to the beautiful town of Dorset Ontario to grab your needs – LCBO, Robinsons & restaurants.

My family and I (4 adults + dog) spent the week leading up to the Labour Day weekend at Kawagama Shoreline cottage. It’s located on a calm, quiet inlet on a very large lake and we made use of the waterboard, canoe and kayak provided. The inlet is a good place to try out these things if you don’t have much experience - and the water was great for swimming too. The property is quite dense with trees providing privacy and a true ’in the woods’ experience. The flip side to this is that the property is shaded much of the time, and we wished the sun shone on the dock for a longer period of the day. The cottage is very clean, spacious and we enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen and relaxing by the fireplace at night. On our last night we used the fire pit to make s’mores. Overall we had a great stay.

Hi, the place was great. There was a lot of room in the driveway. We were able to fit our 3 trucks and two trailers with no issues. The only thing that I can recommend that would be nice for a winter rental is more hooks or somewhere for drying out snow gear but other than that, the place was great. Great accommodations for snowmobiling. Thanks for everything!

This place is incredible. It is a great getaway for anyone who wants to relax, far from any stress and reconnecting with nature. The place is absolutely charming, the bedrooms were very comfortable and the entire cottage is well equipped with great appliances and tools to cook! As it is winter right now, we did not have access to the lakeshore and the terrace, but I could tell it looks fantastic. Leah was extremely responsive and accommodating, and our check-in and out was super easy and flexible which we appreciated so much. We will definitely be back!!

We had a wonderful time. The cottage itself is beautiful. The kitchen is very well stocked. The decor is lovely. The bathrooms were spotless and the bed in the master bedroom (the only one we used) was super comfortable. It truly is the perfect place to relax and recharge. We would definitely stay again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Leah’s cottage.From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the hosts truly care about their guests' experience. The house was incredibly comfortable, impeccably clean, and felt like a true home away from home. What really set this experience apart, however, was Leah’s thoughtful attention to detail. We were celebrating a special occasion during our trip, and Leah went above and beyond to prepare a beautiful card and lovely decorations for us. It was such a touching gesture that made our celebration feel truly magical. Communication throughout our stay was seamless, quick, and always helpful. It is rare to find such attentive and considerate hosts. We cannot recommend this place enough and are already looking forward to our next visit. We loved our stay at your cottage. The cottage and the setting were beautiful. We really enjoyed sitting on the elevated deck near the shoreline. While we didn’t use the firepit it is a great feature. The cottage itself was outfitted so well. The kitchen had everything we could have wanted for all types of cooking and baking. The coffee/tea setup was amazing. We loved the Breville coffee maker. Overall, and especially being our very first experience renting after selling our cottage, it was a wonderful experience.

Private and peaceful Had a wonderful time with a few friends at their property, the hosts were responsive and everything worked as anticipated. They have obviously spent some time thinking about their guests, the place had everything we needed and they even provided a gift basket and some coffee pods. Overall, very well done and no hesitation recommending this to anyone. Thanks again.

Terms and Conditions

In the high season months between Victoria Day weekend and Labour Day weekend, we require a minimum 4 nights booked. During the low season months we have a 2 night minimum, unless it is a holiday scheduled weekend. A security deposit of $500 will be collected with the final balance and will be returned within 3 to 7 business days provided the following provisions are met:

No damage is done to the property or its furnishings.
There are no items missing from the property.
There are no violations of this agreement. Guests will be emailed an invoice with all your rental details.

Payment of the Booking deposit will secure your booking.

E-Transfer and Credit Cards accepted.

House Rules

This property always has an absolute maximum capacity of 8 people. There are no events or parties allowed. This amount is the comfortable capacity of both the well and septic systems. Please do not run the water excessively.

Dogs are allowed on the property for an additional fee.

There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere in the house, on either deck, or within thirty feet of a structure. You can smoke further down the driveway or on the road, and please do not leave butts on the ground.

Please leave any wet shoes and boots at the door.
